Something about me
I am the president here at BioDec.
I spent basically all my professional life as a for-hire R&D ronin.
As you may guess from my professional history and from the list of my papers, I am a computational chemist by training that turned into a "bioinformatician" (whatever this means nowadays). I have also been Adjunct Professor of Computational Biology at the University of Bologna
A large merit/responsability for this transformation goes to the people at the Biocomputing Laboratory of the University of Bologna, and mostly to Rita Casadio and Piero Fariselli with whom I have a long, ongoing collaboration. I still spend a good fraction of my time in their lab, and I like it this way.
In the last five years, I have also been a referee for the following journals:
