AICA Congress 2009: BioDec as a case study
While many research institutions and universities use Plone for their websites, BioDec's solutions may be the only case - at least in Italy - of an application of Plone to operational research
BioDec demonstrated that Plone can support research in a way that
goes very far beyond sharing information or delivering CMS services.
Our use of Plone to generate new scientific knowledge may be unique,
and arose the interest of AICA, the Italian Association for Informatics
and Automatic Calculation, the national reference for academic IT
specialists, holding its national congress at the "Sapienza" University
from 4 to 6 November 2009.
Friday 6, at 16.30,
the "Comphumanities" workshop will address the use of Plone in the
public research and university sectors, and BioDec's Cesare Brizio will
deliver the conclusive talk, relating about our story and our present
offer.
