Description: 

The signal peptide predictor detect the presence and location of signal peptide cleavage sites in protein sequences.
It is a neural network based predictor and implements a program similar to that described in Bioinformatics 19: 2498-2499 (2003) on a new data set. The predictor is trained on different organisms: Gram-positive prokaryotes, Gram-negative prokaryotes, and eukaryotes. The method predicts both the presence or the absence of the signal peptides and the putative location of cleavage sites.
